DENTAL IMPLANTS, AN OPTION IN SMILE RECONSTRUCTION

Nothing replaces a healthy set of teeth....

However, when life circumstances result in tooth loss, I am here to tell you that you have some options in restoring your smile.  Dental Implants, for most people, offer the most natural and similar feel and appearance to your own teeth.  This article will be the first of a series detailing the simple details on Implant Dentistry.  I have chosen to include this topic in my blog so as to educate you on what implants are, how they work, and why you should consider them as options when choosing to head toward a path that will again afford you, or your loved one, that Smile You'd Be Proud To Wear...ANYWHERE!

Lets Begin!

What are Implants?

Implants are titanium fixtures, or posts, that are safely placed beneath you gums.  Once there, the implants are given 3-4 months to properly integrate, or fuse, to the bone of your jaw, acting then as artificial, but highly functional, tooth roots.  Basically, they replace the root portion of your missing tooth.  Once integrated, I am then able to fabricate beautifully strong and naturally functional crowns, or tooth forms...whether as single units or grouped on a bridge or denture...that are then mounted to the implant.  Once complete, you would then be able to enjoy the benefits of eating, smiling, and speaking for many years to come.  There are many benefits to the use of dental implants as your restorative option.  Stay tuned for our next session....I'll share with you then what these benefits may be for YOU!  Until then, Keep Smiling!
