DIGITAL DENTISTRY HAPPENS WITH 3D PRINTING

As you may have already realized, digital dentistry is already here! With 3D printing as part of its evolution, we are experiencing an increase in production speed as well as an improvement in quality and precision of the final dental restorations we plan for you.  These then will be carefully delivered to you with the same efficiency as they are made to comfortably and aesthetically replace your natural tooth form, function, and appearance.

Although quite a paradigm shift, dentistry has enthusiastically embraced the digital work flow as a natural evolution within its reach.  Although seemingly overwhelming at times, as a thriving restorative dentist, I find myself excited to welcome this new age of technology.  Digital dentistry will surely be the standard of care inside our practices and in the manner with which we deliver our best care to you, our patients.

3D printing takes the effectiveness of digital design to the production stage.  By combining intral-oral scanning technology, CAD/CAM design and 3D printing, together with my Smile Panel of Experts (including the dental laboratories equipped with digital technology ), I can accurately and rapidly produce the crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and other prosthetic appliances which one day, not long ago, required more arduous clinical and laboratory models to complete the process.  No longer will we be relying on the traditional methods of taking dental impressions; our oral scanners will efficiently stitch together individual scans of our teeth and surrounding tissues, creating a digital image of our own mouths.  These then will rapidly be sent, via an email file, to the laboratory of choice.  Our expert technicians will then begin the fabrication process based on the intricate designs prescribed by us, your restorative dentists.

As you see, this digital workflow  brings the future to us today!  I'm so excited to be a part of this evolving technology; I'm even more anxious to have you experience it within our offices.
