I don't know about you but I had to live with metal braces and brackets for six years!  My orthodontic adventure started at the age of 11 years, lasting until my senior year of highschool.  I was 17 years old then!  Must I tell you how intrusive this experience was in my life!  I spent a great deal of time flossing under and around wires and brackets, taking great caution in what I chose to eat throughout my day so as not to accumulate too much "stuff" around my teeth.  Another point of contention was my less than white smile in all the pictures I was "forced" to be a part of.
